BALMA is a trade association that represents most of the property letting and managing agents in the Bristol area. We have a code of practice that Member's must abide by. The BALMA logo is your assurance that you are dealing with a reputable and professional agency.

We regret that we are unable to deal with deposit disputes unless the agent has failed to return a deposit after 30 days and has provided no reason for such failure.

We cannot deal with any dispute that falls outside our code of practice a copy of which is available on this website (see llink below).

Any complaint you have against an agent should be taken up with their trade body such as NAEA or ARLA or with Tenancy Relations at the local authority.
